The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) presented its 2011 Rising Star Award to Adam Carmichael, Director of Store Design, Saks Fifth Avenue. The award presentation took place during the 15th Annual PAVE Gala, Dec. 7 in New York City.
In keeping with its mission of nurturing and encouraging young talented individuals to ensure the future of the retail design and visual industry, PAVE developed this award to recognize individuals who have demonstrated talent, vision, and implementation in the retail environment.
Carmichael was one for three finalists for the 2011 Rising Star. Sarah Amundsen and Corinne Keddie were also recognized. All were at the Gala when 2010 Rising Star winner Leonard Barzsap presented the 2011recognition.

The 2011 Rising Star Award Finalists were:

Retailers were invited to nominate an individual under 40 years of age who works in retail design, visual presentation, or contract design and is a proven innovator and leader among his or her peers.
