PAVE Announces 2009 Rising Star Award Winner
Hollywood, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2009)—The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) presented its 2009 Rising Star Award to Travis Burnham, senior manager of creative services for J. Crew. The award presentation took place during the 13th Annual PAVE Gala on Wednesday, Dec. 9, in New York City.
“For the past three years, we have been delighted to acknowledge an up and coming Rising Star, given to a professional under the age of 35, proven to be a visionary in their field. This year, the winner of the prestigious Rising Star Award is Travis Burnham, creative services manager at J. Crew, with the finalists being Robyn Novak, director of interior design for FRCH Design Worldwide and Stacy Suvino, visual director of Miss Jackson’s,” said Nancy Jackson, Gala co-chair and president of Architectural Systems Inc.

Each year at the PAVE Gala, the industry also celebrates the best in retail design starting with the Student Design Awards, which provide scholarships to winning students for outstanding achievements, encouraging them to remain in the retail industry. Also presented at the Gala are DDI’s awards for the Best Windows of New York City and VMSD’s awards for the Excellence in Visual Merchandising and Store Design, which is given to an iconic retailer.
