2010 PAVE Gala to be held at The Pierre
Hollywood, Fla. (July 26, 2010)—Retail luminaries will gather to celebrate the next generation of retail design at the Planning and Visual Education Partnership's (PAVE) 2010 Gala, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Pierre in New York. The event includes cocktails, dinner, music, and awards. Now in its 14th year, the Gala is a major fundraiser for PAVE, which will award over $65,000 in grants and competition awards throughout 2010.
The event will recognize the best in New York City retail design and visual merchandising. VMSD will present awards for Excellence in New York Visual Merchandising and Design. DDI will present the Winning Windows Awards, honoring the top holiday windows in NYC. The winner's of PAVE's 2010 Student Design Competition, sponsored by Godiva Chocolatier Inc., will be announced, and the students will receive financial grants on behalf of PAVE. And PAVE will present the fourth annual Rising Star Awards to recognize young visual and retail design professionals in our industry.
Chairing the 2010 event are Nancy Jackson, president, Architectural Systems Inc.; Linda Lombardi, vice president, global store design and visual merchandising, Godiva Chocolatier Inc.; and Bill Goddu, vice president, marketing, Fleetwood Fixtures.
Various levels of sponsorships are available, ranging from sponsoring the awards program to sponsoring a student or educator to attend the event. Sponsorships may be tax-deductible as a charitable donation.

About PAVE
Founded in 1992, The Planning and Visual Education Partnership’s (PAVE) objective is to encourage students to study in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising through its annual Student Design Competition. Additionally, PAVE seeks to encourage retail management, store planners, visual merchandisers, architects, and manufacturers to interact with and support design students. This is accomplished through projects, seminars, workshops, and the annual fundraising Gala with proceeds dedicated to educational programs and projects benefiting students.
